We’re on the lookout for a fullâtime Sous Chef to join our Theatre Bar kitchen team and help shape the next chapter of our food offering.

What the role looks like
- Based at the Sydney Theatre Company in Walsh Bay
- Create beautifully presented, consistent dishes for both restaurant and event service
- Work closely with our Head Chef and Executive Chef to grow your skills and refine your craft
- Support the Head Chef with cost control and kitchen operations
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a small kitchen team to deliver fast, highâquality service
- Step up to manage the kitchen when the Head Chef is away
- Maintain topâtier food safety standards
- Work across a gastroâpub style and grazing menu
What you bring
- Commercial Cookery qualifications
- Experience in a fastâpaced bar, restaurant, with pre theatre or similar environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- A passion for learning, experimenting, and evolving as a chef
- Full working rights in Australia and availability for fullâtime hours
